Week 1: My Blog Theme
Hello, my name is Jose Cruz. This is my first time creating a blog, so I wanted to ensure the theme I chose really resonated with me.
The theme that I decided on was Soho Dark. I chose this theme initially because I liked its clean and simple look. I wanted a simple look so that my content would stand out more and be easy to read.
A reason I chose this theme is that it gives a professional look. I believe that it's important to keep a professional look because it makes it comfortable for readers and whoever is looking at your blog. I didn't want to choose a theme that looked loud or busy because I thought it would take away from my content. I wanted to keep it minimalistic, which is why I chose a theme with few colors.
Another main reason I chose this theme is because of its dark scale colors with subtle gold and white colors as well. It reminded me a lot of Batman, which I've been a big fan of since my childhood. Black is also one of my favorite colors. For these reasons, I think this theme resonates with me.
Overall, I believe that the theme I chose really resonates with me, and I think it will help me bring my ideas out more. I am excited to learn more about blogs and to use and learn as we go on with the semester.
Hello Jose, I am apart of your group for this class and I want to say that I really liked the description of your theme and why you chose it. Everything truly has detail and you know why those details matter to you. I like the simplicity of it because it is easy to navigate and it helps us understand more.
ReplyDeleteHi Jose, I like the theme you chose Soho Dark. I think it does give it the professional look you were going for. Black, Gold, and White letters makes your writing stand out which I appreciate. It brings out the minimalist style. Plus, I'm a big fan of Batman also.

ReplyDeleteHi Jose, I love this theme for the same reasons you expressed: clean and simple! I can appreciate that your focus in on the message and not on potentially distracting images. I like the minimalism; plus, black is one of my favorite colors...so I am a bit biased. ;)
