Week 10: Researching Businesses Through Google
I researched businesses in the clothing industry that have their own Google page:
The first business I looked at was Nike. The overview of their page includes videos from the business and their trending products. Their store rating is 4.7 with more than 7,400 reviews. People are actively leaving reviews, and 77% are leaving a 5-star review. Based on the reviews I saw, most customers praise Nike for their designs and quality. From the bad reviews, most complained about their customer service. Overall, Nike is a great and thriving brand and has earned the Top Quality Store badge from Google.
The second business I looked at was Balenciaga. Just like Nike, their page includes videos from the business and their trending products. They also have the Top Quality Store badge from Google and have a store rating of 5.0. They have 61 reviews with 89% leaving a 5-star review. Most of the reviews I saw were praising Balenciaga for their product quality and creative design. The negative reviews mostly expressed their concerns about the website design. Ultimately, I was surprised by the high rating since the brand has had some controversy in the past.
The third business I looked at was A Bathing Ape (BAPE). Their overview page also includes videos from the business and their trending products. They have a store rating of 4.4 with 68 reviews. People are actively leaving reviews, with 68% leaving a 5-star review. Most of the reviews praise BAPE for their unique designs and wide product selection. The negative reviews state their concerns about BAPE's customer service and return processes. Their store page does not have a Top Quality Store badge; however, they still have a decent rating.
Overall, I believe that Google is a great way for a business to expand its audience. Google is already one of the most used platforms and search engines, and businesses should take advantage of adding their business.
